Playing Favorites with Clear and Simple Stamps

The Collection 7 release from Clear and Simple Stamps has been all about favorites. We’re wrapping  up the month with each of the CSS design team members sharing their CSS favorites with you.

I’m highlighting the By the Glass Too stamp set and coordinating By the Glass dies. I loved the By the Glass series at first sight when it was released last summer and I was so excited that coordinating dies were added on in March. These are my favorites because you can use these stamps and dies to create a variety of projects for all types of events and occasions—there’s something for just about everyone here!

First up is a fun masculine design that’s perfect for Father’s Day. I used the bottle stamp and die to make a soda bottle for the focal image on this card. The bottle is set over a patterned paper panel edged with some twill and a coordinating navy panel. To go with the bottle, I mixed and matched stamps and die cut letters to say “you are the best pop.” I layered the panel on a Rouge Ruffles card base, then added a pair of Favor Flag strips and a twine-tied button as accents.

Now, for something girly using one of the set’s fancy glasses. The outline image is filled in with the matching solid image in pink, bringing to mind a frosty, fruity drink. I used foam tape to put the glass over a multicolored striped patterned paper panel. The “let’s catch up over drinks” sentiment is stamped on a pink strip edged with some silver glitter tape. I used the same glitter tape and a trio of pink buttons to fill in a little of the white space at the top right corner of the patterned paper panel.

You can also use these stamps and dies with another of my CSS favorites to make great gifts. The Bottle Tag die is perfect for gifting a bottle of wine along with a gift card tucked into the tag’s pocket. Here, I used Rouge Ruffles cardstock for the base of the tag, then added some fun patterned paper and a strip of gold glitter tape to dress up the tag. A die cut champagne glass and the “eat, drink, and be merry” sentiment stamped on a Favor Flag die cut finish it off.

And, since thank you’s follow gifts, I thought I’d create a simple thank you note using the coordinating Taglines: By the Glass set and the Mini Tri-fold 2 die—that trifold’s another of my faves! I cut the trifold base from In the Limelight cardstock and assembled it. It’s decorated with a strip of chevron patterned washi tape. I used the same tape to add a little color to the thank you card insert, then added the “a ‘tini note of thanks” sentiment above the tape along with a mini martini glass. Too fun!

Don’t miss out on what the rest of the CSS team has selected as their favorite CSS products. Here’s where to find them:
