TCP Tuesday-Love Always

This month’s TCP Tuesday challenge theme is flowers. That’s right, we’re running with the whole April showers bring May flowers theme this month and making flowers the focus of our projects. I probably should have saved this felt flower embellished vase to share for this month’s challenge, but I was so excited about its appearance on the cover of the recently released Handmade Home Decor magazine that I couldn’t wait.  So, I came with something else to share for the challenge.

Here’s what I came up with, based on the current sketch from Retro Sketches. I used TCP’s CutUps Pom Pom Flower die to make a big, fluffy felt flower for my focal point. I set it on top of a pair of layered panels with a fancy edge, courtesy of one of the decorative edges from the CutUps Toppers die set. The “love always” sentiment from the Words of Love stamp set is stamped on the white panel in pink ink. I added one of the set’s flourish images beneath the words for an elegant touch.

The panel is adhered to a kraft and pink chevron patterned paper. Once I had it in place, I added some pearl flourish pieces extending out from either side of the flower for an elegant touch.

You can find all of the details on this month’s challenge here.  I hope you'll join us--the coveted title of Swanky Stamper awaits one lucky challenge participant!

Materials Used:
Words of Love stamp set, CutUps Pom Pom Flower and Toppers dies, Seeing Red Collection felt (The Cat’s Pajamas); Pink Lemonade ink (My Favorite Things); Regal Rose and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Country Picnic-Orchard designer paper (Pebbles); white pearl flourish (Want2Scrap)
