Hello, Sunshine

Here’s my card for this week’s Fusion challenge. I combined the sketch with the colors from the inspiration photo for this cheery card.  It's been super dreary and rainy so far this week, so a little sunshine was definitely in order!

I made the large half-circle element into a sun by layering half of an orange circle stamped with a gingham pattern over half of a pinking edged yellow circle. The circle is attached to a light blue panel with a cloud pattern from the Clear and Simple Stamps Imprints 3 plate. It’s hard to see in the photo, but I covered the panel with a little shimmer spray for a subtle sparkle. Once the sun was in place, I added a pair of fluffy white felt clouds, die cut with CSS’s Clouds Combo dies.

The “hello, sunshine” sentiment from the Cloudy Days Sentiments set was stamped in In the Limelight ink on an In the Limelight Favor Flag die cut strip.  It's adhered to the panel so it extends out from the edge of the sun.

Materials Used:
Cloudy Days Sentiments and Gingham stamp sets, In the Limelight and Creamsicle Cardigan inks, In the Limelight, Creamsicle Cardigan, Say Yellow to All Your Fans, My Style Blueprint, and A Blanc Check cardstock, Clouds Combo and Favor Flags dies, Imprints 3 plate, white felt (Clear and Simple Stamps); circle and pinking circle dies (Spellbinders); Frost shimmer spritz (Tsukineko); foam tape
