Just for You
Here’s my card for this week’s Muse challenge. I was inspired by the floral images on Marion’s card, plus the bright color scheme. I also incorporated elements from her layout while changing the orientation to a vertical layout.
I used stamps from the Flowers set from Clear and Simple Stamps to create the floral panel. Each flower is stamped in a different bold color—not something I’d normally do, but I like how it looks. I die cut a strip of green cardstock grass to place along the bottom of the panel to fill it a bit, then added a teeny die cut butterfly using foam tape. For even more dimension, I made a white vellum overlay to put on top of the butterfly. It’s adhered just at the center/body so the wings can be folded up to look like the butterfly is in flight. I attached a piece of a clear crystal flourish extending out from underneath the butterfly to make a flight trail. A little sparkle is always good, right?
The panel is edged with strips of a golden yellow dotted paper. I stamped the “just for you” sentiment on a piece of a Creamsicle Cardigan Favor Flag die cut and attached it to the stamped panel, anchoring it with a knotted piece of Coral Necklace satin ribbon. The panel is adhered to a coordinating Coral Necklace card base.
Materials Used:
Flowers stamp set, Coral Necklace, VIP Purple, Creamsicle Cardigan, In the Limelight, and Perfect Little Black Dress inks, Coral Necklace, Creamsicle Cardigan, In the Limelight, and A Blanc Check cardstock, Favor Flags, Grass, and Butterflies 1 dies, Coral Necklace satin ribbon (Clear and Simple Stamps); white vellum (The Paper Company); Buttercup-Sunflower designer paper (Lily Bee Design); clear crystal flourish (Michaels); foam tape
