It’s time for another Color Throwdown! Wanda is our hostess this week. She’s chosen Pear Pizzazz, White, Blushing Bride, Rich Razzleberry, and Old Olive for our colors this week, as inspired by this pretty bridal bouquet.
I used a loose interpretation of this week’s sketch from Retro Sketches as the basis for my design. I created my own bouquet of sorts using the WPlus9 Blanket Stitched Blooms stamp set and matching dies for my image panel. For a softer look, I used just the solid images and left off the stitched outline images for the flowers and leaves that come with the set. To give the images dimension, one bloom is attached to the panel with a dimensional dot. I stamped the “sending happy thoughts” sentiment from the new Strictly Sentiments 2 set in the open space on the white panel.
The panel’s set on a pink cardfront over an olive chevron patterned paper fishtail flag strip. A trio of pink gems runs along the top of the patterned paper strip for a little sparkle.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD246. Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team and June's guest designer, Wanda Guess.
