Introducing Critter Pals
The reveal of Collection 7 from Clear and Simple Stamps continues today with a look at the Critter Pals series. This series is a follow up to the fabulous Little Critter series from Collection 1 and includes more of the same style stamps and dies with a whole bunch of adorable new animal friends. I was super excited to see this set include a puppy—something I’ve been asking for since I first saw the original Little Critter series (right, Nicki?). I used the cute puppy to create a puppy welcome kit including a card, treats, and toys for a furry new addition to the family. My goldendoodle, Chloe the cutie puppy, would go crazy over a gift set like this—and, in fact, has already claimed one of the tennis balls I used as her very own. It goes everywhere with her and it’s a miracle I haven’t tripped and fallen over it yet . . .
Here’s a look at the card. I used the puppy image from the Little Critter Pals 2 set stamped on the matching Little Critter Pals die cut as my focal image. The puppy is colored with Copic markers and attached to the patterned paper panel with foam tape. I added a trio of tiny hearts, cut with the teeny die from the Build a Critter Owl and Kitty die set, over the puppy’s head. The “puppy love” sentiment is stamped on a red tab adhered at the top of the patterned paper panel. I anchored it with some machine stitching.
To hold some puppy treats, I used the new Party Favor 13 die—a fun mini take-out box. Before assembling the box, I stamped the solid bone image from the Little Critter Pals 2 set over it in brown ink. The box is very easy to assemble. I finished it off with a brown satin ribbon handle and a tag that coordinates with the card. I used the small version of the puppy image found in the Taglines: Little Critter Pals set along with a sentiment made by mixing and matching words in the Critter Pals Sentiments set.
The last piece is a can of brand new tennis balls (minus the one currently in Chloe’s mouth!). Since the can wasn’t particularly cute, I dressed it up by covering it with some of CSS’s kraft gift wrap. I added a red cardstock strip around the middle of the can and adhered a big puppy made with the new Build a Critter Pals: Basics dies to the can. Too cute!
Don 't miss what the rest of the CSS team has created to show off these new critters. Here’s where to find them:
