Love Struck
Here’s my card for this week’s Fusion challenge. I combined elements from the inspiration photo with the sketch to create this clean and simple design.
For the three strips across the cardfront, I adhered three different width strips of chevron patterned washi tapes in colors from the inspiration photo to an aqua card base. For the trio of triangular elements, I substituted a heart image pierced with an arrow. I arranged the arrow so it looks like it’s been shot through the heart. A big clear crystal anchors the arrow and draws attention to the target image stamped on the heart. The “love struck” sentiment from the My Favorite Things Right on Target set is stamped beneath the bottom strip of tape in a slightly darker aqua ink than the card base.
Materials Used:
Right on Target stamp set, Steel Grey cardstock, Die-namics Feathers and Arrow dies (My Favorite Things); Vivid Beach Glass ink (Clearsnap); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); Aqua Mist and Limeade Ice cardstock (Paeprtrey Ink); Bermuda Bay cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); decorative tapes (Hobby Lobby); clear crystal (Michaels); foam tape
