Red, White, and Blue Birthday Girl
Here's a sweet, girly birthday card for today's SCS featured stamper challenge. It's based on this summery design seen here. I kept the layout and red, white, and blue color scheme from the original design the same, but replaced the image with one of the rag dolls from Clear and Simple Stamps.
I used Rag Doll Emma: Banner as my focal image. The set comes complete with a matching die to cut out the rag doll shape, so it was easy to put this one together. I colored the die cut and stamped image with Copic markers, then used foam tape to adhere it to a white panel with a debossed chevron pattern. Her banner is stamped with the "HB2U" sentiment that comes with the set--evenly spaced to fit perfectly right inside the banner!
For the sentiment, I die cut a circle from white cardstock using the Shapes: Circles die. I stamped the matching dotted outline image inside the circle in red ink, then curved one of the set's sentiments on my clear block to match the curve of the circle before stamping it in black ink. The stamped panel is adhered to the white panel and topped with a blue cardstock strip. The cardstock strip is wrapped with a piece of red baker's twine that's secured with a knot. I topped the knot with a red gem, using a glue dot underneath the knot and gem to keep them in place. A strip of dotted red tape fills the white space at the top of the card. I adhered the finished panel to a light blue card base.

Here’s a sneak peek of my project that will be shown on the app tomorrow--you can probably tell from the photo that it's another one of those cute rag dolls!
