Go to Your Happy Place

This week's Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is a designer draft challenge.  My version is a nautical take on the challenge, using the sailboat from the Wicked Nauticool set to represent the sketch's tall element.

I die cut the boat using the Nauticool die set, then stamped the matching outline image on the die cut piece and colored it with Spectrum Noir markers.  I made a backdrop for the boat using a piece of light blue cardstock with a strip of blue chevron patterned paper along the bottom.  The boat's adhered to the panel with dimensional dots.  I filled in some of the white space on the panel with a pair of clouds, die cut with the new Clouds dies and embossed with a polka dotted pattern for some texture.  The "go to your happy place" sentiment from the Get Outta Town set is stamped in navy blue ink on the patterned paper.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papers:  Paper Smooches Wicked Nauticool and Get Outta Town stamp sets and Nauticool and Clouds dies, Crafter's Companion ultrasmooth white cardstock, Tsukineko Memento Tuxedo Black and Nautical Blue inks, Spectrum Noir markers (BT1, BT2, CG2,CG5, CG7), Lily Bee Design Sweet Shoppe 6x6 paper pad, Lifestyle Crafts Spotted embossing folder, Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other:  Soft Sky and Blue Bayou cardstock (Stampin' Up!)
