Have a Sunshiney Day

Here's a super simple, summery card based (loosely!) on this week's sketch from CAS(e) this Sketch.  It also works for this week's CAS-ual Fridays polka dot themed challenge.

I ended up with a larger focal image than I think was intended for the sketch because of the relatively large size of the die cut glasses I wanted to use for my design.  Even with the larger scale, I think it still works.  The glasses are cut from yellow cardstock and the lenses are filled in with scraps of shiny silver paper for a cool reflective-like appearance. 

I set the glasses over a sun I created with a polka dotted orange circle layered over an orange pinking edged circle.  The "have a sunshiney day" sentiment from the Spring Rain stamp set from The Cat's Pajamas is stamped in orange ink on a white notch-ended strip.  The stamped strip is slipped between the sun and glasses.  The left end of the strip extends just the tiniest bit over the edge of the cardfront--I think it will still fit in a regular envelope though . . .
