TCP Tuesday-Tag, You're It!

It's time for a new TCP Tuesday challenge for the month of July.  This month's challenge is to make your own tag to use on a project.  I used TCP's CutUps Luggage Tags dies to make my own tag for this little travel journal.

The tag is cut from kraft cardstock and inked along the edges with some distress ink for a weathered look.  I stamped the word "travel" from the Summer Sentiments set in the middle of the tag in red ink, then stamped the line of vehicles above and below the word in brown ink.  I threaded some red grosgrain ribbon through the hole in the tag and secured it with a button tied with TCP's linen thread.

The tag's attached to a small journal I picked up at Target and dressed up for the challenge.  The journal's shiny gold binding is so pretty that I didn't have to do much to the cover other than add some patterned paper and a strip of red decorative tape.

For all the details on the challenge, stop by Alma's blog or the TCP member company forum on SCS.

Materials Used:
Summer Sentiments stamp set, CutUps Luggage Tags die, beige linen thread (The Cat's Pajamas); Memento Rich Cocoa, Versafine Satin Red inks (Tsukineko); Tea Dye distress ink (Ranger); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); Sasparilla-Cattle Drive designer paper (October Afternoon); red grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); red decorative tape (Target); brown button
