Thanks Chickie

Here's my card for this week's 300th Mojo Monday challenge.  I just got one of the new feather stamp sets from Waltzingmouse Stamps, so I inked it up for this super bright design.

I used the peacock feather from the Funky Feathers set as my focal image.  I stamped the feather in teal and green inks, then cut it out and adhered it to a white panel using foam tape.  The set's "thanks chickie" sentiment is stamped above the feather in green ink.

I matted the white panel, plus all of the other layers, on Melon Mambo cardstock and arranged them on a bright green card base.  It took me a while to come up with a mix of colors and patterns that I liked for the layers!  I finished the card with a strip of pink grosgrain ribbon extending out from the edge of the feather image.  It adds just a tiny bit of texture to the design.

Materials Used:
Funky Feathers stamp set (Waltzingmouse Stamps); Memento Teal Zeal and Pear Tart inks (Tsukineko); Limeade Ice cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Melon Mambo and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Turquoise Sea cardstock (Gina K Designs); Lime Twist-Life of the Party 6x6 paper pad (My Mind's Eye); Here and Now 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); Fishtail Flag Stax and Fishtail Flag Layers Stax dies (My Favorite Things); circle dies (Spellbinders); pink grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); foam tape
