The Write Stuff
Here's my card for this week's sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch. After seeing all the school supplies out in stores now with the start of the school year coming soon, pencils immediately came to mind when I saw the elements on the sketch.
I stamped the pencil image from Papertrey Ink's Teach and Inspire set along the bottom of a white cardstock panel, varying the heights of the stamped images. The pencils are colored with Copic markers in a traditional golden yellow--even though as a kindergarten teacher, I'm much more used to seeing the fat red primary sized pencils in my own classroom!
I stamped the "you have the write stuff" sentiment from the Tiny Treats: Valentine stamp set on a notch ended kraft strip and used foam tape to adhere it over the pencil images. A few red enamel dots scattered around the pencil give the design a fun pop of color.
Materials Used:
Teach and Inspire and Tiny Treats: Valentine stamp sets, Kraft cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Marshmallow cardstock (Bazzill); Memento Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); enamel dots (My Mind's Eye); foam tape
