I Heart You

Here’s my card for Mama Elephant’s August inspiration challenge. I was inspired by the colors in the photo as well as the love theme seen in the big “XO” on the pillow in the front of the photo.

I used one of the speech bubbles from the Hello set to represent the love element. I stamped the bubble in pink ink, then added the “I heart you” in the blank space in black ink. The bubble is adhered to a yellow striped panel with foam tape. I added a black scalloped border strip to the other side of the paper panel and edged it with a piece of bright pink ribbon. A few pink sequins scattered around the panel give it a fun sparkle. The finished panel is adhered to a white card front, leaving a nice, crisp border around the panel for white space.

Materials Used:
Hello stamp set (Mama Elephant); Memento Rose Bud and Tuxedo Black inks (Tsukineko); Lemon Drop cardstock (My Favorite Things); Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Dots and Stripes Candy Shoppe-Lemon Drops Large Dot designer paper (Echo Park); CutUps Queen of Hearts border die (The Cat’s Pajamas); pink grosgrain ribbon (Michaels); pink sequins; foam tape
