Just Hatched

This week’s blogger challenge theme is “farm fresh.” I combined this week’s Mojo Monday sketch with a farm themed stamp set from Waltzingmouse Stamps to create this sweet baby card.

I mixed and matched a few different arrangements of patterned papers and coordinating solids before coming up with what you see here. Once the panels were in place, I wrapped a piece of green satin ribbon around them and secured it with a knot. The egg image was stamped in a pale pink ink. I added the little chick (or maybe duckling?) inside the open part of the image using a bright yellow ink. The image is adhered to the cardfront with some foam tape. I stamped the “just hatched” sentiment on the green panel, just beneath the egg image. It's a little brighter than traditional baby card colors, but I think it still works!
