Beary Special Baby Gift Set
We’re wrapping up our first look at Collection 8 from Clear and Simple Stamps with a look back at the Craftization series first showcased on the CSS blog last week. I came up with a fun, out of the box use for the new Stationery Filer die for this baby gift ensemble.
I used the file box to create a gift box for a pair of board books. As a teacher, books are one of my favorite baby gifts to give! The assembled file box fit two Dr. Seuss classics perfectly. I made the box from Trendsetter Blue cardstock, then added an accent strip around the bottom made with the star border from the Playroom set stamped repeatedly in navy ink.
To go with the box of books, I created a book themed card using the library card image from the new Flashcard Fillers set. The library card was stamped on the same Trendsetter Blue cardstock. I stamped the “beary special baby” sentiment from the Critter Pals series on the card before adhering it to a My Favorite Blue Jeans panel stamped with the same star image as I used on the file box. A solid True Blue Fan cardstock strip with machine stitching along one edge breaks up the pattern a little. I stamped one of the small bear images from the Taglines: Critter Pals set on kraft cardstock and colored it a bit with Copic markers, then cut it out and used foam tape to attach it to a pair of circles at the bottom of the navy strip.
