Hello There
Here’s my card for this week’s Muse challenge. Laurie’s layout was one I’d never have thought to use myself, so I used that as a starting point for my design.
I used a piece of aqua cardstock to make the angled top layer. Once I’d cut the edges, I added strips of turquoise glitter tape along the angled edges as an accent. I adhered the angled piece over a panel of butterfly patterned paper. The paper was chosen because of its small scale pattern, like the one in the original card. I stamped the “hello there” from Papertrey Ink’s Bountiful Banners set in blue ink along the angled edge of the aqua panel and accented it with a trio of enamel dots.
Materials Used:
Bountiful Banners stamp set, Aqua Mist cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Vivid Beach Glass ink (Clearsnap); Beautiful Life 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); turquoise glitter tape (American Crafts); enamel dots (My Mind’s Eye)
