Spend Your School Days with Clear and Simple Stamps

Collection 8 has arrived at Clear and Simple Stamps! If you visited the CSS blog last week, you’ve already gotten a look at some of the great new stamps and dies in the collection. Today, we’re showing off the sets in the School Days series. I made a fun ensemble featuring a card and a coordinating pencil box.  My ensemble also serves as my entry for the current school themed Curtain Call Inspiration challenge.

The card uses stamps from three new sets—Flashcard Fillers, Rag Doll House: School, and Rag Doll: Teacher Notes (more on those Rag Doll sets coming tomorrow . . .) . I used the library card image from Flashcard Fillers to make a background for the pair of pencils from the Rag Doll House:  School set. The library card was stamped on cream cardstock and inked with distress ink for an aged look. After arranging the pencils on the card and adding a twine-tied button as an accent, I stamped the “you did a great job” sentiment from the Rag Doll: Teacher Notes set on a Favor Flags die cut strip and adhered it to the card, extending out from underneath one of the pencils.

To go with the card, I made a pencil box. I made the box from CSS’s Rouge Ruffles cardstock, then added a panel stamped with the same pencils as I used on the card to decorate it. I tucked a trio of pencils inside to finish it off.

I’ll be back tomorrow with a look at more new CSS goodies. For more back to school themed projects, check out what the rest of the CSS team has created with new products from Collection 8. Here’s where to find them:
