A Bunch of Bursts

Here’s a fun design for this week’s sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch. After thinking about a few different options for the trio of shapes in the sketch, I settled on a trio of comic book style bursts to create a masculine design.

The bursts are die cut from white cardstock. I used a different color ink to stamp an outline and sentiment from the Clear and Simple Stamps Comic Bursts set on each burst, then arranged the trio on a black panel. The bursts are all adhered with foam tape for a bit of dimension. The white really pops against the black background!

Once the bursts were in place, I added a trio of red enamel dots of varied sizes around them. I layered the panel on a red mat to match the dots, then adhered it to a black card base.

Materials Used:
Comic Bursts stamp set, Dare to Be a Diva Red, Simply Blue-tiful, and Golden Tiara inks, Dare to Be a Diva Red, Perfect Little Black Dress, and A Blanc Check cardstock, Bursts dies (Clear and Simple Stamps); red enamel dots (Prima); foam tape
