You Are my Whirl

Here’s my card for the Bedtime Story sketch shared at last week’s Waltzingmouse Stamps Pajama Party. I put together a clean and simple design using the Playful Pinwheels set.

I used the smaller pinwheel image and colored it with Copic markers. After cutting out the colored image, I used foam tape to attach it to a pierced circle. The center of the pinwheel is dressed up with a tiny red crystal.

To go with the pinwheel’s cheery red and golden yellow color scheme, I covered a yellow card base with a piece of yellow patterned paper. I machine stitched around the panel’s edges before adding a pair of layered fishtail flag strips. The “you are my whirl” sentiment is stamped on the top flag strip in red ink. I attached the image panel next to the sentiment, then accented it with some pieces of clear crystal flourish for a fun sparkle.
