Baby in Blue

This week’s blogger challenge theme is doilies. I combined the doily challenge with the colors from the current Waltzingmouse Fanatics Challenge to create this sweet baby card.

Baby in Blue-Designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from Waltzingmouse Stamps
I built the card on a piece of chevron striped patterned paper. The paper is adhered to a light blue cardfront and topped with part of a white paper doily. I used the shoes from the Nordic Baby stamp set as my focal image. The trendy chevron is a nice contrast to the traditional style of the baby shoes.  I stamped the shoes on white cardstock in pale blue trim and cut them out. They’re attached to the doily with foam tape. I accented them with bits and pieces leftover from a package of white pearl flourishes. The set’s “baby” sentiment is stamped in gray ink on a light blue fishtail flag strip and adhered to the card on the opposite side of the baby shoes.

Materials Used:
Nordic Baby stamp set (Waltzingmouse Stamps); Sno Cone ink (My Favorite Things); Memento Luxe Gray Flannel ink (Tsukineko); Soft Sky and Whisper White cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); Wonderful Day 6x6 paper pad (Fancy Pants); white pearl flourish (Want2Scrap); white paper doily; foam tape
