I'm Thankful for . . . You
Here's my card for this week's Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge from My Favorite Things. It's also my entry for this week's "give thanks"themed bloggers challenge.
I used part of the girl image from the Pure Innocence It's a Sign set as my focal image. The girl is stamped inside a circle die cut with one of MFT's Pierced Circle dies. I colored the image with Copic markers, then heat embossed the word "you" on the chalkboard part of the image using white embossing powder.
The kraft panel that covers most of the cardfront is die cut with MFT's Peek-a-Boo Circles die. I backed the die cut part with a piece of red cardstock, then layered the panel on a dark brown mat. After wrapping the panel with red grosgrain ribbon and securing it with a knot, I adhered the panel to a red card base. The image panel is added on top using foam tape. I stamped the rest of the sentiment in black ink just to the left of the image panel.
Materials Used:
Pure Innocence It's a Sign, Chocolate cardstock, Die-namics Pierced Circle and Peek-a-Boo Dots dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Wedding Dress inks (Tsukineko); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Poppy Parade cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); markers (Copic); red grosgrain ribbon, white embossing powder (Michaels); foam tape

so many cards to comment on, I can't do them all but this one catches my eye. I love pure innocence. That blackboard with the word you is fab. Wonderful colors and design!
ReplyDeleteVery cute Lori, I love that you just used a portion of the image and how it highlights the word, "You"
