Bee Mine

I put together this sweet tag for the current Lawnscaping tag or treat bag challenge and the current 10 Minute Craft Dash challenge.  I wanted to make sure I played along in the 10 Minute Craft Dash since Paulina will be putting it on hiatus for a while at the end of the year.  I'm sorry to see that because it's one of my favorites!

Bee Mine Tag-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from Lawn FawnI used the Craft Dash colors--light yellow, bright red, and green-- to create a love themed tag with Lawn Fawn's Bee Mine set.  I die cut a tag from pale yellow cardstock, then added a strip of green cardstock "grass," punched with a grass border punch.  The set's "bee mine" sentiment is stamped on the grass strip in black ink.  I added a piece of dotted yellow patterned paper beneath the grass strip, then hid the seam between the two papers with a narrow strip of red cardstock.

I stamped the bee image on a scrap of white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers.  Usually, I don't use colored images on my projects for the 10 Minute Craft Dash because of the time it takes to color them, but this bee was super quick to do.  I cut out the colored image and set it on the tag with a dimensional dot.  The flight trail is stamped in red ink, positioned so it's extending out from behind the bee.  Love the heart shape found in the trail!  Some Stickles dotted on the bee's wings give the tag a little bit of sparkle.  I finished off the tag with a little red faux suede ribbon, tied up with a piece of yellow baker's twine.  Finished in 9 minutes, 23 seconds!
