Hello Sunshine

Here's my card for this week's sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch. Again, it's kind of a loose interpretation, but I think it still counts.

Hello Sunshine-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from Papertrey InkI changed the direction of the elements in the triangle shaped section of the sketch to fit one of the sun ray images from Papertrey Ink's Hello Sunshine stamp set.  The rays are stamped in yellow pigment ink, then embossed with clear embossing powder.  Once I was done embossing, I used distress inks and an ink applicator tool to add a blue background to the panel.  The embossed circle at the center of the rays hides that I didn't do a great job of perfectly lining up the ends of the rays. I added a die cut felt cloud for a little texture, partially overlapping the round part of the sun.  The set's "hello sunshine"sentiment is stamped directly on the cardfront in teal pigment ink.  I layered the finished panel on a turquoise card base to match the color of the sponged sky.

Materials Used:
Hello Sunshine stamp set, Lemon Tart cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Memento Luxe Dandelion and Teal Zeal inks (Tsukineko); Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean distress inks (Ranger); white cardstock, clear embossing powder (Michaels); Tempting Turquoise cardstock (Stampin' Up!); cloud die (Lil' Inker Designs); circle punch (EK Success); white felt; foam tape
