Love You to the Moon and Back

Here’s my card for the current Waltzingmouse Fanatics challenge. I used the sketch and the Waltzingmouse Stamps Half Pint Heroes stamp set for this sweet love themed card.

Love You to the Moon and Back-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from Waltzingmouse Stamps
I made the sketch’s large round panel into a moon by using a circle of yellow cardstock debossed with a dotted pattern. The moon is adhered to the center of a blue panel. I stamped the set’s rocketship image on white cardstock, omitting the flames at the back of the image, and colored it with markers and cut it out. It’s adhered to the top of the moon using foam tape. Once it was in place, I added a clear dome sticker to the rocket’s window to get a glass-like look.

The “love you to the moon and back” sentiment is stamped on a vellum strip and embossed with red embossing powder. After adhering the image panel to a navy blue card base, I layered the embossed sentiment strip on top. A few gold sequin “stars” complete the design.

Materials Used:
Half Pint Heroes stamp set (Waltzingmouse Stamps); Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Love Letter inks (Tsukineko); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); markers (Copic); Crushed Curry, Night of Navy, and Brocade Blue cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); white vellum (The Paper Company); circle die (Spellbinders); Polka Dots embossing folder (Lifestyle Crafts); clear dome sticker (The Paper Studio); ruby embossing powder, gold sequins (Michaels); foam tape
