Here’s my card for this month’s Reverse Confetti Sketch for You to Try. I used the Be a Barista set for a love themed design.
I stamped the mug in black ink and the liquid in brown pigment ink, then paper pieced the mug with some cardstock scraps. It’s adhered to a panel with foam tape. Once it was in place, I stamped the “love you a” sentiment above it so that the curve of the words would match the curve of the mug.
The image is layered over a pair of coordinating patterned paper panels. The panels are matted on kraft cardstock and arranged on a light pink panel. Instead of using paper for the small panel underneath the left edge of the image panel, I used a strip of gray dotted washi tape. The tape was carefully positioned to let all of the words on the left edge of the paper panel beneath it to show. A few white sequins scattered around the cup add a tiny bit of sparkle to the card.
Materials Used:
Be a Barista stamp set (Reverse Confetti); Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Rich Cocoa inks (Tsukineko); white cardstock (Taylored Expressions); Pixie cardstock (Avery Elle); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); sequins, washi tape; foam tape
Love the soft colors.
ReplyDeleteI love your card! I just purchased this stamp and am going to play with it during the Jayhawk basketball game this afternoon. Love the words on the side of your card - that's awesome! Robin
