Cheers to the Happy Couple

Here’s my card for this week’s Muse challenge. I was inspired by the color scheme on Vicki’s card, plus elements featured on the layout. In my version, I celebrated a much happier occasion and flipped the orientation of the card to a vertical one.

Cheers to the Happy Couple-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Papertrey Ink
I used stamps from Papertrey Ink’s Propose a Toast to make a card perfect for an engagement, wedding, or anniversary. For the focal image, I die cut a pair of champagne flutes from white cardstock and stamped them with the matching images. They’re arranged over a white paper doily with a fancy crystal flourish extending out from the top of the glasses. I used a gold dotted patterned paper along with a shimmery silver paper for the panels framing the doily. The “cheers to the happy couple” sentiment was stamped in black ink on a narrow fishtail flag strip and added to the cardfront beneath the pair of glasses.

Materials Used:
Propose a Toast stamp set and Propose a Toast die (Papertrey Ink); Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); Vivid Straw ink (Clearsnap); So Saffron cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); white cardstock (Michaels); Vintage Finds 6x6 paper pad (Teresa Collins); silver paper (Target); crystal flourish (Prima); white paper doily; foam tape
