On Cloud 9
Here’s my card for the current Fusion challenge. I used the sketch along with a few elements from the inspiration photo (the love theme and the polka dots) to create this simple card.
Originally I thought about using hearts for the line of elements across the cardfront, but after a little more consideration, I decided to use a row of clouds with a love themed sentiment instead. I die cut them from pearly white paper using the Clouds Combo dies from Clear and Simple Stamps. I arranged the clouds on a blue dotted panel, staggering their placement and using foam tape underneath the largest one to add interest.
The “I am on cloud 9 with you” sentiment from the Cloudy Days Sentiments set was stamped just above the cloud line in red ink. I added a few white sequins around the clouds as an accent. The finished panel was matted on red cardstock for contrast, then adhered to a white card base.
Materials Used:
Cloudy Days Sentiments stamp set, Dare to Be a Diva Red ink, Dare to Be a Diva Red and White Pearl cardstock, Clouds Combo dies (Clear and Simple Stamps); Live Your Story 6x6 paper pad (Teresa Collins); white sequins; foam tape
