Wishing I Could Be There

Here’s my card for this week’s Mojo Monday challenge. Since many of my cards end up going to Operation Write Home, I don’t often make non-standard sized cards, so it was fun to change things up a bit on this one!

Wishing I Could Be There to Tuck You In-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Clear and Simple Stamps
I made a sweet missing you card using the Sweet Dreams stamp set from Clear and Simple Stamps. The focal image is the set’s “wishing I could be there to tuck you in” sentiment. It’s stamped in gray ink instead of black for a softer look. I found a clear crystal circle in my stash that was the exact same size as the round panel (love when that happens!). I added that to the panel along with a die cut gold star.

To go with the sentiment, I found a piece of star patterned paper for the long panel along the left side of the card. After edging it with a strip of sparkly gold cardstock, I adhered the patterned paper strip to a blue cardstock panel with a trio of mixed and matched paper strips along the bottom. The finished panel is adhered to a white card base.

Materials Used:
Sweet Dreams stamp set, You’re Such a Gray-cious Host ink, My Style Blueprint, Golden Tiara, 24 Karat Gold, and Golden Tiara cardstock, Shapes: Circles and Shapes: Stars dies (Clear and Simple Stamps); Six by Six-Happy Day paper pad (My Mind’s Eye); clear crystal circle (Prima); foam tape
