You've Captured My Heart

This week’s blogger challenge theme is black and white plus a splash of color. I went with a classic black, white, and red color combo on this design.

You've Captured My Heart-designed by Lori Tecler-Inking Aloud-stamps from My Favorite Things
I clustered a trio of die cut shapes together on a white panel—a camera, a heart, and a film strip border. To add interest, I added a strip of black and white washi tape behind the openings in the film strip border before layering the heart and camera on top. The “you’ve captured my heart” sentiment from the My Favorite Things Picture This stamp set is stamped at the top of the panel in black pigment ink. The pigment ink gives a nice, bold impression that really contrasts with the white background.  I layered the finished panel on a black card base.

Materials Used:
Picture This stamp set, Die-namics Cute Cameras 2 and Hearts a Plenty dies (My Favorite Things); Real Red and Basic Black cardstock (Stampin’ Up!); white cardstock (Michaels); Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black inks (Tsukineko); Film Strip Border die (Taylored Expressions); washi tape (My Mind’s Eye); foam tape
