Hoppin' By
Here’s my card for this week’s Mojo Monday sketch. I thought the cute little frog from the Clear and Simple Stamps Taglines: Little Critter Pals was perfect for a springtime greeting card.
I made the base for my tall, skinny card from a piece of CSS’s Glamazon Green cardstock. After adding a piece of True Blue Fan cardstock at the top of the cardfront, I adhered two chevron patterned paper strips on top, staggering their placement so one was higher than the other. I stamped the “hoppin’ by to say hi” sentiment from the Critter Pals Sentiments set in True Blue Fan ink on a white oval, then added that oval on to the cardfront. I stamped the frog image on a scrap of white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers, then cut it out. It’s adhered at the bottom of the sentiment panel using foam tape. I added a trio of teeny, tiny green enamel dots above the lower of the two patterned paper panels for a final, fun pop of color.
Materials Used:
Taglines: Little Critter Pals and Critter Pals Sentiments stamp sets, True Blue Fan and Perfect Little Black Dress inks, Glamazon Green, True Blue Fan, and A Blanc Check cardstock, Copic markers-YG01, YG03, YG13, YG17, YG21YG25; (Clear and Simple Stamps); Macho Nacho Soup-2 Parts Boy designer paper (Jillibean Soup); oval die (My Favorite Things); green enamel dots (My Mind's Eye); foam tape
