It’s time for another Color Throwdown! Broni is our hostess this week and she's selected this beachy and oh so Broni color combination—Strawberry Slush, Sahara Sand, and Coastal Cabana.
I shared a photo of my new goodies from i {heart} papers on Instagram over the weekend and put some of them to use on this card. I used the new Lawn Fawn Hello Baby stamp set and matching dies for this sweet love themed design based on the current sketch from The Paper Players. This set will be great for so much more than just baby cards!
I stamped the bunny on white cardstock and colored it with Copic markers, then used the matching die to cut out the colored image. It’s adhered to the bottom of a light blue panel using dimensional dots. I stamped the set’s “some bunny” sentiment on the panel in blue ink, then used a few different sentiments from the #awesome set to get the “loves you.” I matted the panel on a contrasting piece of berry cardstock, then adhered it to a white panel with a strip of heart patterned paper running down the center. A few enamel dots arranged around the sentiment add a fun touch to the design.
To play along, just create a paper crafted project using these colors as a starting point and add a direct link to your finished project using the linky tool found at the end of this week's CTD post. As always, if you don’t have exact color matches, something close works just fine. Just be sure that the challenge colors are the dominant ones in your project. And, if you upload your project to an online gallery, use the keyword CTD294.
Before you get started, here’s some inspiration from the talented Color Throwdown team, our May guestie, Annette Allen, and this week’s guest star stamper, Christy Stanford.
