Let Your Dreams Take Flight

Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge.  This one came together pretty quickly using several different sets of MFT's Die-namics dies.

Let Your Dreams Take Flight card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from My Favorite Things
I had a pair of bright cardstock feathers that were already die cut, left over from another project, that I used as the focal image on this card.  After deciding to use the feathers on my card, I found a coordinating patterned paper in my stash to use to cover most of the light gray card base.  I used the same light gray cardstock to cut the large rounded banner panel adhered over the patterned panel.  I die cut a fishtail flag strip to run across the length of the cardfront, then added the feathers on top, using foam tape to add dimension to the top feather.

The "let your dreams take flight" sentiment from the Right on Target set was stamped next to the feathers, just above the fishtail flag strip, in blue pigment ink to match one of the feathers.  I finished the card with a trio of coordinating enamel dots arranged around the feathers.

Materials Used:
Right on Target stamp set, Grout Gray cardstock, Die-namics Feather and Arrows, Rounded Banner Stax, and Fishtail Flags Layers Stax dies (My Favorite Things); Aquamarine ink (Avery Elle); Hawaiian Shores and Simply Chartreuse cardstock (Papertrey Ink); Soft Sky cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Twig-Topsy Turvy designer paper (Little Yellow Bicycle); enamel dots (My Mind's Eye); foam tape
