Poppy Sketches #4-Epic Birthday
It's time for a new sketch from Poppy Sketches! Our sponsor for this sketch is CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. I used the Rad set for my fun birthday card based on the sketch and the fresh spring color scheme.
I made my own patterned paper using the set’s border image on a piece of mint green cardstock. To add interest, I slightly offset the stamped image and alternated the colors between mint and a leafy green. I edged the stamped strip with a narrow piece of peach cardstock, then adhered the panel to a piece of white cardstock.
I stamped the “hope your birthday is epic” in silver ink on a green cardstock panel and heat embossed the text with silver embossing powder for extra sparkle. After edging the bottom of the panel with peach cardstock, I adhered it over the white cardstock panel. A trio of peach dots is arranged around the sentiment, mirroring the fun dots in the border image. I matted the panel on green cardstock, then adhered it to a mint card base.
Be sure to check out what the rest of the Poppy Sketches team has created using the sketch and colors along with stamps from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. Here's where to find them:
