Some Bunny Loves You

Here’s my second take on the current sketch at Seize the Sketch. I just love the bunnies in Mama Elephant's Honey Bunny stamp set and knew that the sketch’s large panel would be perfect for creating a scene featuring one of the bunnies.

Some Bunny Loves You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Mama Elephant
To make my background, I masked the edges of a blue stitched rectangle die cut, then used a cloud template, ink blending tool, and distress inks to add a cloud filled sky to the top portion of the panel. I die cut a curved edge strip from green cardstock to place at the bottom of the panel as grass. Once that was in place, I added one of the set’s bunnies on top using foam tape. Instead of coloring the image, I die cut it from kraft cardstock and colored just the nose with a marker.

I filled in the scene with a few red heart images and the “some bunny loves you” sentiment stamped at the top. I adhered the finished panel over a piece of blue patterned paper topped with a pennant trim die cut and some satin ribbon.

Be sure to check out all of the challenge details and the samples from the DT on the STS blog.
