Thank You
Here’s my card for this week’s sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I made a thank you card using one of the Pure Innocence sets from My Favorite Things.
I colored the image using Copic markers, then heat embossed the “thank you” sentiment on the image’s chalkboard using white embossing powder so it would stand out. After rounding the panel’s corners, I matted it on red cardstock and adhered it to a kraft panel stamped with the Typewriter Text background. I really like the subtle look of the text stamped in kraft ink on the panel!
I tucked a piece of folded red dotted grosgrain ribbon underneath the top of the panel to make a little tab, then topped it with a kraft paper button tied with linen thread. To make the button look a little more realistic, I layered 4 die cut buttons together to form one nice, thick, but still easy to mail button.
Materials Used:
Typewriter Text Background and Pure Innocence It’s a Sign stamp sets (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black and Memento Luxe Toffee Crunch and Wedding Dress inks (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Real Red cardstock, linen thread (Stampin’ Up!); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); Build-a-Flower dies (Clear and Simple Stamps); white embossing powder (Michaels); corner rounder
