Warm Winter Wishes at the Start of Summer
Here's my card for the current sketch at CAS(e) this Sketch. Even though this weekend is considered the unofficial start of summer around here, I went with a wintery design using stamps from Clear and Simple Stamps.
I stamped a bunch of solid snowflake images from the Flurry Days stamp set randomly on a light blue cardstock panel using shimmery silver ink. The center of each flake was filled in with some chunky crystal glitter and I interspersed a few silver sequins in among the flakes for extra sparkle. The "warm winter wishes and holiday cheer" sentiment from the Party Elements: Winter Woodlands set was stamped over the flakes in contasting navy blue ink. The dark blue pops nicely against the lighter blue background and sparkly silver snowflakes. I layered the finished stamped panel on a navy blue card base to match the sentiment.
Materials Used:
Flurry Days and Party Elements: Winter Woodlands stamp sets, True Blue Fan ink, Trendsetter Blue and Night of Navy cardstock (Clear and Simple Stamps); Encore Silver ink (Tsukineko); silver sequins (Michaels); Crystal Ice Ice Stickles (Ranger)
