You're My Hero
Here’s my card for the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I inked up my new You’re Super set from My Favorite Things again for this fun design.
I die cut the super hero from white cardstock, then stamped the matching image on the die cut and colored it with Copic markers. I used the sketch to make a simple background for her. I topped a pair of patterned papers from Studio Calico card kits with a round panel, cut with a pinking circle die to make a sunburst like panel. A piece of yellow grosgrain ribbon hides the seams where the different panels meet.
I stamped the “you’re my hero” sentiment in blue pigment ink on the yellow panel, then added my colored superhero next to the words using foam tape. A few dark blue sequins arranged around the image complete the design.
Materials Used:
You’re Super stamp set, Lemon Drop cardstock, You’re Super dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Memento Luxe Nautical Blue ink (Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Brocade Blue cardstock, Crushed Curry grosgrain ribbon (Stampin’ Up!); patterned papers (Studio Calico); pinking circle die (Spellbinders); Cobalt sequins (Pretty Pink Posh); foam tape
