Thanks Chickie

Here's my card for the current challenge at Waltzingmouse Fanatics.  Since I still need to send out a few more thank you notes, I used the sketch to make another thank you card.

Thanks Chickie card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from Waltzingmouse StampsI used a trio of papers from a paper pad I'd picked up at Hobby Lobby a while ago for the layered panels on the cardfront.   I picked the bold golden yellow chevron pattern to cover most of the cardfront, then topped it with a multicolored pattern incorporating all of the colors I used on the card and a blue dotted panel.  Each of the panels is matted on gray cardstock to set it off from the background.

I used a plain cream cardstock panel for the sentiment.  The "thanks chickie" from the Funky Feathers set was stamped on the panel in gray ink.  I added a pair of feathers, stamped in blue and yellow ink and cut with the matching feather die, to the edge of the panel.  The top feather is attached with foam tape for dimension.  A few aquamarine sequins add a final pop of contrasting color to the card.

Materials Used:
Funky Feathers stamp set and dies (Waltzingmouse Stamps); Memento Luxe Dandelion and Gray Flannel inks (Tsukineko); Aquamarine ink (Avery Elle); cream cardstock (Michaels); Steel Grey cardstock (My Favorite Things); Ninth Street paper pad (The Paper Studio); Aquamarine sequins (Pretty Pink Posh); corner rounder;  foam tape
