Hang in There Baby

Here's my second card for the current sketch at Seize the Sketch.  I used one of the fun sock monkey images from The Cat's Pajamas for this one.

Hang in There Baby card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from The Cat's Pajamas
I used the free Cutables cut file to cut the shape of the set's sock monkey image, then stamped the sock monkey from the Hang in There Baby set on the shape.  After coloring the image with Copic markers, I used foam tape to adhere it to a striped panel.  The set's "hang in there baby" sentiment was stamped at the bottom of the panel in black ink.

I matted the panel on red cardstock to match the balloon in the monkey's hand.  It's set on a kraft card base on top of an angled aqua panel.  I thought about adding some cloud die cuts to the image panel, but in the end, settled on placing a pair of two shiny silver brads on the solid aqua panel.  They add a little sparkle but keep the focus on that cute sock monkey!

Be sure to check out all of the great entries for the current sketch.  You still have time to play along, too!
