Now and Forever

The current challenge at The Card Concept was the inspiration for this pretty wedding themed design.  I used the inspiration photo's color scheme (blue, creamy white, and metallic silver) along with this week's Mojo Monday sketch to put my clean and layered card together.

Now and Forever card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper Smooches
I used shimmery white cardstock for the background panel.  It's topped with a sparkly silver panel, then a pair of coordinating blue panels.  The floral patterned paper brings in a bit of the floral element from the inspiration photo.  I stamped the "now and forever" sentiment from the Paper Smooches Simply Said set on the solid blue panel in gray pigment ink

Instead of using paper, I wrapped the panel with a piece of soft light blue faux suede ribbon.  I used white faux suede ribbon to make the fishtail flag strip set on top of the blue ribbon.  The ribbons are accented with a heart cut from shimmery white cardstock.  After I added a pair of grey enamel dots to the sentiment panel to bring in a bit more of the silver/gray color, the finished panel was adhered to a coordinating light blue card base.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papersPaper Smooches Simply Said stamp set; Tsukineko Memento Luxe Gray Flannel ink; My Mind's Eye Now and Then-Milo 6x6 paper pad; May Arts light blue and white faux suede ribbons; Studio Calico gray enamel dots; Sticky Thumb dimensional dots

other:  Sea Glass cardstock (Avery Elle); Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); silver paper (Target); heart die (Lil' Inker Designs); corner rounder
