Thanks for Making My Day Awesome
Here's my card for October's first Viva la Verve sketch. I used the sketch with the optional color challenge on my thank you card.
I started out with an ocean blue card base. It's topped with a piece of patterned paper with narrow diagonal orange lines on it. I stamped the distressed chevron image from Verve's Better Together set on a yellow strip in orange pigment ink, then layered that on top of the orange panel. Once it was in place, I stamped the thank you sentiment in black pigment ink just above the strip. It really is sharp and not blurry--I think the lines in make it look less than sharp in the photo. I finished the design by adding a die cut gold star at the end of the yellow strip, using foam tape to add some dimension.
Materials Used:
Better Together stamp set (Verve Stamps); Memento Luxe Tuxedo Black ink (Tsukineko); Fizz ink (Avery Elle); Harvest Gold and Ocean Tides cardstock (Papertrey Ink); gold paper (Target); Sweetest Thing-Tangerine 6x6 paper pad (My Mind's Eye); stitched star die (Lil' Inker Designs); foam tape
