Love You

This week's Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge is a Picture Perfect challenge inspired by the photo above. I combined the color scheme, woodgrain pattern, and love theme in the photo with the current sketch at Retro Sketches for this card.

Love You card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Paper SmoochesFor the image panel, I used a heart from the Sweet Hearts set along with the "you" sentiment. The images were stamped in blue pigment ink on a pale blue cardstock panel.  For a pop of yellow, I added the little arrow to the heart using yellow pigment ink.

The panel was matted on darker blue cardstock, then adhered to a woodgrain patterned paper panel over a strip of yellow patterned paper.  I wrapped the panel with light blue faux suede ribbon and secured the ribbon with a knot.  Instead of tucking a fancy scalloped border underneath the bottom edge of the ribbon, I stamped the set's heart border image in blue pigment ink on a blue strip and added that to the card.

Materials Used:
from i {heart} papersPaper Smooches Sweet Hearts stamp set; Avery Elle Mimosa and Aquamarine inks; Fancy Pants Burlap and Bouquets and Everyday Circus 6x6 paper pads; May Arts light blue faux suede ribbon

other:  Sea Glass cardstock (Avery Elle); Hawaiian Shores and Harvest Gold cardstock (Papertrey Ink)
