Winter Wishes

Here's my card for November's final Viva la Verve sketch.  I used the sketch for a wintery greeting card in a cool color palette.

Winter Wishes card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Verve Stamps
I designed my card around the multicolored chevron patterned paper that I used for the large panel on the cardfront.  It was matted on pale gray cardstock, then adhered to a plum cardstock panel.  I topped it with a wide light blue fishtail flag strip, then added the image panel on top.  A trio of snowflakes from Verve's Holiday Treats set was stamped on the shimmery white circle using equally shimmery silver ink.  I added the "winter wishes" sentiment from the Snow Wonderful set on top on another fishtail flag strip.

Materials Used:
Holiday Treats and Snow Wonderful stamp sets (Verve Stamps); Memento Sweet Plum ink, Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Perfect Plum, Bashful Blue, and Shimmery White cardstock (Stampin' Up!); Fog cardstock (Avery Elle); Winter Wishes 6x6 paper pad (Echo Park); circle and petite scalloped circle dies (Spellbinders); silver baker's twine (Hemptique)
