I Think You're Spectacular
Here's my card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge. I used the sketch to create a masculine love-themed design.
Instead of using an oval panel, I used a pair of eyeglasses, die cut with the Geek Is Chic Glasses Die-namics dies. It doesn't show in the photo, but I filled in the "lenses" with pieces of acetate to give them a glass-like appearance.
The blue-gray card base was covered with a chevron patterned paper panel. I adhered a kraft cardstock strip across the panel, then topped it with a blue-gray fishtail flag strip. The strip was stamped with the "I think you're spectacular" sentiment from the Geek Is Chic stamp set. I added the eyeglasses on top, using foam tape for dimension. A trio of brown enamel dots scattered around the glasses completed the design.
Materials Used:
Geek Is Chic stamp set, Steel Blue cardstock, Die-namics Geek Is Chic Glasses and Fishtail Flag Stax dies (My Favorite Things); Memento Luxe Rich Cocoa ink (Tsukineko); Chalk Studio 6x6 paper pad (My Mind's Eye); Desert Storm cardstock (Neenah); enamel dots (Doodlebug Designs); foam tape
