TCP Tuesday 282-You're a Whale of a Friend
It's time for a new TCP Tuesday challenge! Wendy is our hostess for this round and she's drawn up a fun sketch for us to use.
I pulled out a set I haven't used in a while, Whale of a Time, for my take on the sketch. Instead of coloring the whale image, I paper pieced it with gray striped patterned paper. For contrast, I stamped the whale's hat on white cardstock and colored it a bit, then cut it out and added it to the striped whale.
The whale was adhered to a piece of dotted patterned paper using foam tape. I die cut a strip of blue cardstock with TCP's CutUps Wave die and slipped the die cut strip underneath the whale image. To give the die cut strip a finished look, I wrapped a piece of navy blue grosgrain ribbon around the panel along the straight bottom edge of the die cut strip. I filled in the "sky" above the whale with a pair of white felt clouds, one die cut with the Cloud Border die and the other cut with the cloud from the Talk to Me die set. The set's "you're a whale of a friend sentiment was stamped just beneath the image panel in navy pigment ink.
Be sure to stop by the TCP blog for more inspiration and for all the details on how you can play along with the challenge. Challenge participants have a chance to win a generous Cat Cash prize and to be named the Swanky Stamper of the month, which earns you a slot in an upcoming TCP release blog hop along with a selection of stamps from the release!
