You're Sweet

I pulled out my Classroom Cuties set from Sugar Pea Designs again for the current Sugar Sketch Challenge.  This time, I used the set's yummy donut image for a sweet design.

You're Sweet card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps from Sugar Pea Designs
To make the donuts, I stamped the icing image in pink and brown pigment inks on white cardstock, then heat embossed the stamped images with clear embossing powder for a glossy look.  After cutting out the images (and punching out a hole in the center), I adhered them to kraft circles to form the donuts.  The donuts were adhered to a white circle with foam tape.

I set the image panel on a pink cardstock panel over a patterned cardstock panel and a strip of red grosgrain ribbon.  Once it was in place, I added a pair of die cut hearts and an arrow as an accent, then stamped the "you're sweet" sentiment beneath the image panel.  The clear stamps made it easy to get the exact placement I wanted for the words.

Materials Used:
Classroom Cuties stamp set (Sugar Pea Designs); Memento Luxe Rich Cocoa and Angel Pink inks (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); Pink Pirouette, Real Red, and Crumb Cake cardstock (Stampin' Up!); circle die (Spellbinders); From the Heart die (Lil' Inker Designs); Recollections With Love 6x6 paper pad, red grosgrain ribbon, clear embossing powder (Michaels); circle punches (EK Success); foam tape
