Be Mine
Happy Valentine's Day! After surviving my kindergarten class Valentine's Day celebration (on Friday the 13th, no less!), I'm looking forward to having a very quiet long weekend to rest--and hopefully to recover from the nasty cold I've had for the last week (again, thank you, kindergarten class). Most of my crafting has been pretty clean and simple because I've been feeling so lousy and this card for this week's My Favorite Things Wednesday Stamp Club sketch challenge is no exception. Even though it's simple, I'm happy with how it turned out.
I started off with an Insulation Pink card base. I adhered a narrow gray cardstock strip to the left edge of the card base, then added a narrower silver strip to the edge of the gray strip. Instead of using a round focal image panel, I die cut a heart from a piece of pink patterned paper. The die cut paper panel was adhered to the card base using foam tape. I die cut the "be mine" sentiment from gray cardstock using one of the Straight to My Heart dies and set that over the heart. I thought about adding some sequins or enamel dots, but in the end, decided simple was best on this one.
Materials Used:
DieNamics Pierced Heart Stax and Straight to My Heart dies, Insulation Pink and Steel Grey cardstock (My Favorite Things); Love Note 6x6 paper pad (Fancy Pants); silver paper (Target); foam tape
