TCP Tuesday 284-If Raindrops Were Showers

Are you ready for spring?  I think all of us at The Cat's Pajamas definitely are! Nancy, our challenge hostess, was definitely thinking "spring" when she picked this pretty pastel color palette--purple, aqua, and lime.

If Raindrops Were Kisses card-designed by Lori Tecler/Inking Aloud-stamps and dies from The Cat's Pajamas
With springtime weather in mind, I made a rainy day scene featuring the big eared bunny from the Rise and Shine set.  I colored the bunny with Copic markers, then carefully cut him out using a combination of scissors and a sharp craft knife.  To make the rainy background, I machine stitched (somewhat) straight lines of white thread on an aqua panel.  For raindrops, I used two different sizes of clear sequins adhered randomly on the stitched lines.

I added the bunny on top using foam tape.  A green strip of grass, die cut with TCP's CutUps Grass die was tucked underneath the bunny's feet. I stamped the sentiment on a green cardstock strip, then added it to the scene. I layered the scene on a purple cardstock panel, then on a crisp white card base.

Be sure to stop by the TCP blog for more inspiration and for all the details on how you can play along with the challenge.  Challenge participants have a chance to win a generous Cat Cash prize and to be named the Swanky Stamper of the month, which earns you a slot in an upcoming TCP release blog hop along with a selection of stamps from the release!  Be sure to link up your card on the TCP blog for a chance to win.

And, if you don't have any TCP stamps in your stash--or if you have had your eye on a few sets--now is a great time to shop. Miss Meowy is taking a vacation and while she's away, the store is on sale for 14% off.  Orders will ship when she returns on February 24.
