You're the Brightest Star
Here's my take on the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. It's kind of a loose interpretation of the layout, but it was definitely inspired by it.
As soon as I saw the sketch with its single tiny element in the upper right corner and the larger element lower down the cardfront on the left side, I thought of the little girl in the Mama Elephant Shooting Star stamp set. I colored the stamped image with Copic markers, then die cut it with the matching die. She's set on a blue card base over a green "grass" strip cut with one of ME's Landscape Trio dies. I heat embossed the set's "you're the brightest star" sentiment on the green strip in gold so it would stand out--and sparkle! A die cut gold star was adhered to the cardfront's upper right corner. I used foam tape for a bit of dimension here. To round it out, I added a pair of smaller gold sequins around the die cut star so that it really would be the brightest star in the sky.
Materials Used:
Shooting Star stamp set, Shooting Star and Landscape Trio dies (Mama Elephant); Memento Tuxedo Black ink and Delicata Golden Glitz ink (IMAGINE Crafts/Tsukineko); markers (Copic); Lakehouse and Green Acres cardstock (WPlus9); Gold embossing powder (American Crafts); baker's twine; foam tape
